3 Ways To Have Safe Sex
Oct 26, 2021As gay dudes, I’m sure you know that people have come up with lots of different stereotypes for us. One of my favorite ones is the idea that we all have AIDS. I love when people think that all we do is have sex with each other and give each other lovely diseases.
This is no hate to anyone that has AIDS, HIV, or any other STD. I myself have had Chlamydia before, and it definitely wasn’t fun going through that because I’m such a health freak.
Gay sex education is severely lacking in our society, and even though I’m lucky that I live in in the United States where I wouldn’t be stoned to death for liking men, I still think that we just need to learn more about gay sex - specifically, safe sex.
While you're here, please check out my first ever bottoming course at the box above or the link below. I talk about safe sex on there, too.
Here are three ways to have safe sex.
1. Use a condom.
It's pretty much like a balloon wrapper for your dick.
All you need to do is put a condom on the penis of whoever is inserting. So, if you’re the one getting banged you’d put the condom on your partner’s dick, and if you’re the one banging, you’d put it on your dick.
STD’s transfer through bodily fluids like blood and semen so condoms prevent these liquids from traveling and mixing. Super sweet.
You can get condoms pretty much anywhere, at Target, Walgreens, CVS, online on Amazon.
It’s good to use a condom for all types of sex, including oral, vaginal and anal, especially if you and partner aren’t getting tested often or aren’t mutually exclusive.
I understand that sex isn’t as fun with condoms, especially blowjobs, so if you’re at a point where you trust your partner and you guys stop using a condom, at least follow these next few ways.
2. Get on PrEP.
PrEP is a pill that you can take every single day that will reduce your risk of getting HIV by about 99%. You can get prescriptions for PrEP at your doctor’s, or at clinics like Planned Parenthood, or from online websites like MISTR.
I used to get PrEP created by this brand called Truvada and now I have Descovy.
I have one pill every single day with food, and it’s just a great time.
Keep in mind that these pills only reduce your risk of getting HIV, not any other STD like Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, etc.
But those other STD’s can disappear with antibiotics. HIV cannot.
HIV is still treatable, and we’ve really progressed with HIV medication and treatment, but if you get it, it'd be in your system forever.
So, get on this pill, y’all.
3. Get tested regularly.
I personally get tested every 3 months and it’s always a good time.
If you’re on PrEP, every place will require you to get tested about every 3 months anyway to get the pills. So it kind of just goes hand in hand.
But regardless, it’s very important to be updated with the status of your sexual health.
Especially because sometimes STDs don’t have symptoms.
When I had Chlamydia a couple years ago, nothing happened to me and I had no idea that an STD was living in my throat.
So, it’s important to go and a full check up, including a rapid HIV test, blood work, throat and anal swabs, urine sampling, etc.
